3 More Poems

Post  Roe on December 13th 2008, 4:20 pm

WARNING: Some of the stuff posted here may dredge up bad memories. Two of these pieces are about suicide. The last one is depression.

~The Ice & Heat~
He sits in a room with no one else
It lays still in his hands cold as ice
He thinks a countless number of thoughts
It lays still in his hands cold as ice
He wonders why
Still cold as ice it lays in his hands

He feels them rolling down his skin
It feels warm now almost inviting him
He thinks of people those who would hurt him
It feel warms now almost inviting him
He still wonders why
Again it invites him with it's warmth

He closes his eyes to images of pain
It's hot now moving closer
He thinks of friends those who mock him
It's hot now moving closer
He's found his answer
It flashes now still moving closer

He opens his eyes now only to see the light beyond
It's no longer hot or cold or in his hands
He no longer thinks of those thing but, of the light
It's no longer hot or cold or in his hands but on the floor
His answer is simple
It's o longer hot or cold or in his hands
but on the floor in his blood.

~Until I Met You~
Fixed on thoughts of you
With nothing left to do
I try to stop it
But it keeps coming
I never knew what love could do
Until I saw you

Until I saw you
I was just a dummy
I walked around & talked a loud
With nothing real to say
I just thought out loud
Until I met you

Until I met you
I was blind to everything
I was a swing and a miss
No one ever liked me
Until I dated you

Until I dated you
I was hollow inside
Full of coldness
And everything was amiss
I grew warm and full inside
Until you broke up with me

Until you broke up with me
I had happy thoughts of 'we'
I dream of lovely thigns to come
Like two rings paired with two kids
I tried to stop you
I tried everything

I lay here now
In this deep dark room
As I hear my parents cry
And the preacher speak
I realize something else is amiss
My heart hurts
It's got a hole in it.

I never knew what love could do
Until I met you

~If she could see me now~
What would she say?
Would I have made her proud?
Would she call to me?
Or turn her back?

What would she say?
Would she say she loves me?
Could she tell me she loves me?
Have I done her right?

Would I have made her proud?
Would she be proud to say my name?
Could she tell me she was happy with me?
Have I made her proud yet?

Would she call to me?
Would she call me her family?
Could she call me family?
Have I made it yet?

Or would she turn her back?
Would she be disgraced to know me?
Could she even stand to look at me?

Too much for those who can't see past their own mask.

Nope. If it was too much for you, you would have cried, or written me bitching me out about how I shouldn't post these things in such a public place where others, such as themselves, could read them; having such a sordid past as they do, they relate to heavily to it and it breaks a nerve. OR you would have done both. The other possibility is that you would have went into shock, having been forcefully faced with these issues again, because you denied yourself the proper grieving you needed to cope with the incident. There are other ways people have react to my writing. Those are the most numerous and blatantly annoying.

just because i didnt react in the normal way that most people have reacted doesnt mean the mask isnt there all it means is now there is another way that people may react to your writings.
